boost pills

Can you post a pic of the lines, if you removed a pill and boosted to 20 then the lines might be back words. Yes the boost pills stay in if your on the stock solenoid

keep us posted, is there any one near by you could borrow a boost gauge from to test, no sense in spending money on something that may not be the problem. make sure the one with the red mark is the one connected to the waste gate actuator, i know i sound like a broken record but i want to make sure every thing is coverd, dont want to leave anything out.

yeah so the hose with the red mark is connected to the wastegate actuator.. im gonna take both hoses out from the T fitting to inspect and might as well check the actuator too.

you can also check the vacuume lines under the intake manifold, the egr solenoid vacuum hose likes to come off unless its ziptied. its a very quiet leak, took me a while to find. let us know what you find out.

i figure that taking the turbo out to check the wastegate is alot harder than trying a boost gauge first so im gonna wait til i get another boost gauge. if that wasnt the problem im going to try another evo 9 turbo.

have you checked your exhaust manifold for cracks? never hurts to check, i know you said when you removed the pills you bosted to 20 so i dont think its the cause, but i dont want to rule anythin out.

well its really hard to inspect around it considering there's a heat shield that blocks off the bottom portion but im sure if there a leak on the exhaust manifold i would definitely notice it
