Cf hood question

Hey just wondering if I put the gold heat deflect tape underneath my hood would it help prevent the clear coat from ever yellowing or bubbling up?

Yellowing comes from uv rays. All of the decent brand hoods come with a uv protectant clear coat. Good luck having body shop sand and re-clear carbon without it looking like dump. If you are boiling paint from under hood temps. You have some serious issues.

It is but I've also heard that heat from the manifold could also do the same, I have a vis racing hood and its been on for two years with no yellowing at all yet and it's always in direct sunlight but I just recently changed my manifold and my hood is now also really hot after a drive.

Most issues are due to the sun, but yes my tubular manifold has "burnt" my hood. Its a dark brown (at the right angle) right above the mani but clear elsewhere.

Thank you, now I don't look so dumb asking that question.
