2.0, keep or sell

swapped my 2.0 out for a 2.4. you think the motor is better to keep with the original car or just sell it. dunno if matching evo numbers will matter in 20 years.

Guess first you gotta ask yourself if you want a back up block just incase something happens to the 2.4. If not, then how good of shape is that 2.0 in and how many miles. If you are willing to sell just the shortblock, how much would you want for it? If the price is reason I may be interested.

Dunno, the blocks good. I don't know what I'd use it for. I have the 2.4 and if I build another car it'll be a dsm so I don't know what reason I'd have to keep it.

Kian , I'm in the same situation. Built a 2.4 and now have my 2.0 sitting at the house. What are the chances you'll have the car in 20 years? Have you priced what engine builders want for a 2.0 core? The price for that core is only going up. Save it for a bit till the price starts climbing.

If the motor is in good condition, I'd keep it.

It definitely never hurts to have a spare if you have the room for it....
