Cusco power brace install help!

So I went to install my cusco front power brace te other day and ended up putting everything back after I tried putting the brace on.. When installed my frame rails where left wide open? The two brackets that hold the stock crash beam had to be removed for it to fit. Anyone else with a power brace tell me what they did? Do I just leave the rails open...?

Step one: Remove and throw in trash...

Step two: Re-install bumper.

Problem solved . Really though, that brace does nothing but add weight and look "fancy".
