White smoke

It was night, started my car and I saw what looked like white smoke coming from the hood vent. But after awhile it went away. Next morning checked for leaks, none.

Any idea?

Its just condensation nothing to worry about. On the other hand if you see constant thick white smoke your either running lean or head gasket issue.

Did you do any recent engine work? And kind of fluids that got on the manifold that just burn once the car heated up.? Pb blast, coolant, etc? Also check your raidator hoses I had a very small crack on my upper hose that started to burn and white smoke to come up from my vent as well.

I did just get my head gasket, water pump, and both timing and serpentine belt replaced. Did this all because my head gasket had a small warp in it. But it stopped doing the white smoke thing. I guess it was just condensation. Will double check tomorrow.
