18 psi safe?

Have an 03 evo8 with turbo back exhaust intake and upper and lower intercooler piping with hmbc. Running 18 psi. Think it's safe? Not sure if it's tuned and don't have money to get it tuned

i support the above statment, i invested in A/F and boost gauges as my first mod and dicovered i was right around 20-22Psi and still running just a little rich and my car was almost stock when i bought it. So pending milage and condition of car i would say your Safe.

If you can't afford a tune... then driving a 10 year old, modded Evo is not a good idea for you right now.

Should have done a little more research before you made your purchase. These cars are not cheap on anything. If you can not afford a tune, you can not afford the maintenance, you can't afford the car.

as stated... if you cant afford a tune, you wont be able to afford this car. sell it to someone who can take better care of it so it doesn't end up blown up and parted out. it would also benefit you greatly to do a little research on car before buying it. like knowing what the stock boost levels are, cost of mods including a tune, etc.

A tune is a must with these cars especially if it is modded... And I would have to agree with above statements that you may have gotten yourself into quite a mess if you cant afford a tune. Good luck!

And yes, 18psi is very cute and fine to run.

it's safe. a tune would help it out greatly though.

You might want to find a better job to afford the car though. They are not cheap to maintain.
