Evo V shifting

Hi, I had a evo 5 recently the gearbox is getting hard to shift. Specialy from 1st to 2nd (but when the car is fully warm it gets better) Does that mean I have to change my gearbox oil? Do I have to change transmission oil too? How can I know if I need to change my gearbox oil? Cause there's no lipstick to check.

I have 98 evo 5 and I had bit of noise changing from 2 3rd and5th 4th. I just put full recon box in it cos syncros where worn but if yours is hard to shift the damage may already be done. Oils and fluidsare cheap and save expensive parts so keep up with your servicing. Reconditioned box is cheap m8. Also get a clutch suited to your power to save your box

Original cost was $1800 for turbo $400+ for maniflod and bit more for modification for 44 wastegate and $300 for ssi dump pipe. Very good setup if you looking for td05 upgrade. Just you will need 44 waste gate as mine is going on new set up. $1900 will sell. Very minimal use
