front inner fender well liners have a brace?

When I bought my evo it didn't have any fender wells for some reason.. so I bought some from Rockauto since they were half the price as other places. 100 miles later the lower part is melted from the tire rubbing. When it sits they looked right but at high speeds they must have been rubbing the wheels.

My question is does the factory Evo's have a brace at the front bottom of the fender to prevent this? STM's site pictures show a brace but that is all.

Sorry for the dumb question....

Yes, OEM has bracing there, and higher up. Make sure to use all of the clips and hold it down. I know the RockAuto ones are cheaper, but it doesn't come with all of the hardware either.

Yup, the OEM ones do have the Metal piece as Chu mentioned, and they come with all the hardware pictured!

Also remember, we only charge a $6 flat rate for shipping

I will send you a PM.

Is there ANY downside for a evo that runs no gender liners and only sees sunny street conditions, the occasional rain is possible...basically if I never go off-road or drive in the snow is it needed?

I would never consider ordering from Lancershop. That is from personal experience and then you can also look at the reviews. Is that $6 really worth the headache you can potentially get?

You'd throw rocks and dust all up in the engine bay.

I bought a replacement off of eBay, worst mistake. They sent me some knock off factory wanna be's with no vents.
I just threw it in the trash. I just ordered and received 2 oem mitsubishi pieces with the proper vents!! Much better now!!

thanks for the heads up. Brian at STM already PM'd me about ordering! going to go that route.

if you have ACD then these are a MUST. the pump is right in front of the wheel... and the other side is the oil cooler. one big rock and bye bye oil and motor.
