thread pitch help

Hey I need some help getting the correct thread pitch sizes for a few bolts. The oil feed line from the head...I need to plug it and couldn't find anything on that. also the engine lifting bracket bolt thread pitch and well. I received the brackets but no bolts. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys.

you should be able to grab a thread pitch gauge pretty cheap at a local hardware store, you will use it more then once. very useful tool.

engine bracket is likely 8 or 10 x .125 pitch. The oil line I would guess is a pipe thread I would guess.

I forget the pitch of the head plug. Just take the banjo bolt to the hardware store and match it using the thread and pitch guide they have there. You'll have a hard time finding a bolt locally that's the proper length. I had to cut one down so it wouldn't be too long. I think FP and STM have bolts made just for this purpose, but I bet they're $10 +shipping. You can get a stainless bolt at Ace for less than $1, then all u need is a crush washer. I just couldn't justify playing $15 for a bolt lol. If ur gonna cut one just make sure its smooth, the head is aluminum and is delicate...don't over torque either. I used the banjo bolt as a guide to how long to make it - the length of the threaded portion should be about the same as the threaded portion on the plug.
