Tranny Fluid Help

I'm trying to change the fluid in my tranny. Does anyone know what kind I use or what is recommended? Please help. Or if there is a write up. I found one but it was for a MR. I drive a 06 Evo. Base model.

You can use the MR fluid in your 5-Speed too no worries.

The popular choice on the boards is the Redline Cocktail

1 Qt Redline MTL
2 Qt Redline MT-90

I use Penzoil Syncromesh (All I'll ever use). I change it regularly though 8-10K

Some people use SHAMSOIL too (No thanks)

Well, according to that one thread only if you want to safely go down the 1/4 at 10.4 seconds.

I use Amsoil MTL in my 5-speed and liked it better than diaqueen and the redline cocktail

I use amsoil but would not be opposed to others. As long as it meets or exceeds factory specs, it will be fine. All the same sh*t, but you'll have people tell you ones better then the other.

Every transmission seems to be slightly different I guess. I didn't care for the synchromesh or oem. I kept having really notchy shifting and the redline cocktail has been the only one that took care of that.

You did realize the joke was on SHAMSOIL right.

He mentioned that thread because of its lack of well. Any results at all
