Just wondering here, why is it that OEM VIII passenger recaros crack right on the inside part near the center console? I bought my evo and the plastic part of the seat was already like that and I have seen a few others cracked in the exact same spot as well?

Nothing that prevents it from being used just an annoying OCD thing I'm sure a lot of us share. Will get a pic later if nobody knows what I'm talking about.. One of these days I will replace it and have a spare recaro as a chair in my room.

There's a movement I make every time I get in the driver's seat and I hit the inside boaster with my side. The boaster then hits the rear cover. The back cover connects to the frame by a spindly plastic molded part of the back and that is where it cracks. So, common problem.

If you do a deep search on this forum you will encounter several posts where people have done repairs to the seat back. It is not easy work.

Hmm. I'll do some searching, but in the end I still think I will end up replacing it and entering with caution.

Yeah, after looking over how much work would be involved in disassembling the seat, and I am a guy who does his own clutch jobs, I bought a pair of IX seats off of ebay.

It's so annoying lol everytime I see it I become enraged.

^ YES agreed I will replace it altogether before I repair it.
