Idiotic question about ic piping
Sorry about the noob question in advance, but I'm still relatively new to the whole tuning community. Is a chargepipe for a bov the same as upper intercooler piping? Or where is upper intercooler piping routed vs how the chargepipe is routed? Also, when getting a set of lower and upper ic pipes, is it almost a necessity to get a mini battery because of the increased size?

Charge pipe is just a different term for intercooler pipe.
Whether you need a mini-battery depends on whether the upper IC pipe you want is stock route (no mini-bat needed) or short route (mini-bat needed).

Well right now I'm looking at http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...?productid=709
And
http://www.lancershop.com/customer/p...3&cat=0&page=1
But I already have a chargepipe with an hks bov which was already on the car when I got it, so is the upper ic unessecary? Or is the chargepipe another part of the full intercooler piping system. Now my last question is, is this upper ic piping (if I need it) going to be intrusive, I personally can't tell if it takes the stock or short route. Thanks for the quick response btw

No, looks like it's a short route:
Look into ETS, they have both stock and short route UICP offerings.
Charge pipe = UICP. They're synonyms. If you already have one you don't need another one unless there's something wrong with it.
Also, if you already have an aftermarket UICP, chances are you also have an aftermarket LICP, did you check to make sure?
Due to the improved non factory routing, this kit requires the use of the AMS small battery kit and is not compatible with the factory air box.

I don't believe I do. I think the previous owner got some combo deal with the bov and piping. But then again I don't know what stock piping looks like. Can I assume that if its polished its aftermarket? I haven't checked, but I got the car mostly stock, the previous owner just listed a works exhaust, hks bov, and skunk 2 springs, so a lot of rice you could say. On a side note are works exhausts any good? And is there any good way to differentiate stock parts from aftermarket parts generally?

AMS makes good stuff! I noticed good gains from the lower IC piping. The upper piping I did with other mods so I can’t confirm. The upper decreases possible leak points vs stock and give you a cleaner look under the hood. Though I did them separate you might as well get a full kit when you do it, because you will soon enough.
As for your question is your link short route... Yes it is if you read the note at the bottom of the link:

To be honest bro you need only lower ic pipe wich makes power.but it's your money and you decide either go or not with upper pipe.plus lancershop is overpriced.you can buy used lip pretty cheap or new(like Muse) under $200.
