Boost guage power sources.
Hey. I'm trying to install my STRI boost guage in my evo 9. Its going to be located above my HVAC conttols along with a innovate wideband. I picked up a fuse with some wire attatched to it to tap into my fuse box. Either constant 12v or Ignition 12v. Where could I find an ignition 12v or constant 12v behind my center dash for my guages? I don't have a multimeter currently.
So for who have their guages setup where I want mine, what power sources did you tap into? Or any suggestions?

i would use the same one that powers the dash cluster, fuse 2 i believe
for illumination, I used the green (i think it was green) wire from the clock
gauges are powered whenever the ignition is ON, only lit up with running lights or headlights are on
edit: Fuse 2 is the gauges, not fuse 3

By illumination you mean the dimming?

correct, the glowing portion
gauges need two power sources for some (i have autometer ES), so the gauge itself is powered and also the backlights of the gauge are powered but they are separate from each other. others are different and are powered by the controller (defi) so you'd only need the one power source out of the fuse box
