ACT Heavy Duty 6 puck vs Comp Stage 4

Guys i need ur help, my stock clutch is gone currently making 340whp and i need a new clutch... Which one would suggest? My car is gonna be dd and my goal for the next 2 years is 500whp... So i really really need suggestion, thanks!

Clutches are rated on tq not whp. So whats your tq going to be?

Are you staying stock frame turbo? If so you will most likely have high tq numbers too

My ACT HDSS which is a street disk held 565whp and 475tq and it was used for a long time and the disk had to be replaced once already from a ton of track launches. I didn't even resurface the flywheel and it still held. It slipped when it got really cold but I was probably making closer to 600. I think a proper install with a new one would hold fine and it drives great.

This is whats in my IX, I'm going for about 380tq on a mustang dyno in a few weeks this gives me hope mine will hold too

I daily my comp and I love it. Had a a twin disc before this one and the comp is a lot more street friendly.

Stage 4? Was the twin an exedy? Because the twin disc is heavenly to dd.

XTSS with a Sprung 6 Puck. You can choose a street disc as well but just get a six puck. Almost zero chance of lock out and will hold a ***-ton of torque and last a VERY long time.

Sprung or un-sprung? I admit that it is more gabby but I had a 6 Puck back in my DSM days and despite making deceleration noises I could inch it around and parallel park in tight places.

I run the 6-puck sprung with no issues...570hp/430tq@wheels...shifts at 9k like butter. I followed the recommendation to wire brush the transmission splines and then lightly lubed them with MolyLube so the disk freely slides and will disengage.

I agree this clutch is not recommended if you live in a hilly area.

Sprung and I hate how hard it grabs which is why I'm hesitant to shift hard.
