ETCHING PARTS on your car?

How many of you ETCH PARTS on your car or have done it prior to hiring a shop?

It's kinda sad that I'm even posting this but fu*k...I've had more than my share of rip-offs with performance shops. Typically it's just bad work and carelessness but I've wasted so much money over the years I'm actually considering buying a parts etcher and going to town on a lot of stuff prior to ever handing the keys to anyone again.

I know alot of the performance shops (typically the honest ones) do this to protect themselves and to have a point of reference for work that was carried out on particular components.

What etching equipment do you recommend?

Thanks!

You mean engraving?

Will work fine for engraving initials or whatever kind of marking you want to do on parts.

Just ask for old parts back if you're having a shop install new things

I've never had this problem before, but any kind of engraving too should work fine.
