I had both 2012 sti and bought my friends evo ix mr. But when my son came in the world I had to sacrifice a car and sold the sti. Loved both cars but, the evo was easier for maintenance and love how it handled more than the sti. The newer sti has a new steering ratio and said they handled more better than the older models. My girl likes the newer model but I told her to get the evo x mr when we get financially situated (hopefully soon). I do miss the sound of the boxer rumble tho lol. But if I were you test drive both cars and see what you like. For me I loving the evos now lol.
