after-market or stock fuel rail?

hey guys,

im looking to go with a ported intake manifold and either a 65 or 70mm throttle body. also looking to perhaps upgrade from my 780cc injectors to something more in the range of 1000+ on my GT30R on 24lbs.

so with all that good stuff going on, i was wondering if it was necessary for me to upgrade my fuel rail. and if so, what is recommended? i've heard stock fuel rails work pretty well under high boost but most people do for the aesthetics? thanks.

Stock rails are good for some high hp numbers. It really is a semi-cheap aesthetic mod. I personally went for the AEM rail when I ordered my ported Skunk2 IM and FBM 70mm TB with FIC 2150's. That's just me.

I think it's sad how much power people push out of the stock rails and regulators. The opening is the size of a #2 pencil, that's not enough for high fuel demands. People tune around it all the time though. Rail, regulator and pump are a bare minimum IMO.

Huh?

VWJETTY, on a gt30r you will be more than fine with the stock rail and fuel lines

I don't get the sad comment.

I had a aftermarket rail and now I'm running the OE and the car operates the same way....Fuel pressure is the same.

Why would you want to upgrade a part that doesn't need to be upgraded. If you just want the look then I can understand that. Its not a necessity. On both of my old evo and the current one I was running 2150's.

So whats your definition of high fuel demands. 8 injectors, 3 fuel pumps?

OP stock fuel rail is fine unless you want to change it out aesthetically.
