Engine rebuild

Well its probably time for me to already rebuild my motor cylinder 1 is losing compression and eating my oil so I would rather rebuild it with stronger parts than just putting in rings.

Is there a prep guide on here that i can read plan on doing it
Myself for sure Im sending the block to machine shop.

Mitsubishi repair manual. That would be my guess. Have you ever built any engines before?

I would advise that if you have never built a motor before don't do it yourself.

Its not rocket science, everyone has to start sometime. If you are mechanically inclined its actually pretty simple just make sure to double check all of your clearances/gaps/end play/torque specs ect.... Pick up a Factory Service manual.

This is basically what I was gonna get after. I've built plenty. Never any evo engines but can't imagine any hidden surprises if you do research and get all torque specs like any other engine. If the op is mechanically inclined then it's very possible. I like to tell people to go for it. After you turn the key and knowing you built it is a great feeling.

And there is a difference between building an engine, and blue printing an engine. Do plenty of research

I have built goped engines before i know its not the same thing but im familiar with engine and how they work, just figuring out about bore sizing, honing, and general cost for machining i need to get the block and head done for a perfect seal. Planning on pushing it to 500-600hp but will eventually get the head built but don't have the funds to buy all the parts

Or i could just buy a bottom end and sell my stock one to someone who wants to rebuild it anyways. I will look at the service manual and do some research
