I made a post a few years ago saying I regretted getting a GSR instead of a MR. I think I remembering you posting that you did too

One of the main reason I regretted it was really the name and I've since gotten over it

no way in hell do i let mine go for that, either. someone would have to overpay a ridiculous amount to get me to part with it. i mean like nobody-would-ever-do-it overpay LOL

I've spent $10k on trans, tcase, rear diff, turbo, and tuning this year. No about to let the car go anytime soon unless I go broke and part it out back to stockish to get more money back out of it.

I would only sell if I could afford to track a GT3 or a Catfish+trailer+truck, etc.
Since I can't, my Evo is the best and cheapest fun/track/play car I can own. It just so happens to also be one of the fastest. I lucked out in stumbling onto these cars.

trying to figure out an alternative is impossible. If I don't keep it I'm looking at an E90 M3, IS-F, CTS-V(2), Audi RS4, C63 AMG or maybe just maybe a Ford Focus RS. Either way I can't make up my mind.

I think once I make the decision to sell I need to drive all of them. I just want a decently fast car I can throw bolt-on's and wheels and call it a day. I love modifying cars but not to the extent I went with the Evo. They all have about the same HP (Except the CTS-V). I like the sound of the DCT trans in the M3 (I think Audi offers something similar). I've loosely thought about a GTR but while I was on gtrlife they had a post for people thinking about owning one...........yeah once I saw the price for brakes and rotors..........I'm good. That is my golden unicorn but I will never be able to afford oen unless I hit the lotto.

Man it gets really barren after Evo. Sometimes I think I should just by a Honda Fit and go backwards (Datsun 510 with SR20, E30 M3 if I can find one, R32 Skyline). But then I remember i dont want a project car.

The E90 M3's are really nice inside and out, but I must say the electronic throttle control is garbage... After driving cars with throttle cables I found the M3 and S4 to be almost boring as it slowly applies more throttle even with the pedal to the floor. I know there are ways to remedy that, but that almost annoys me more To each their own, but in me eyes you can't beat the response and controllability of a cable type throttle.

ISF's are not great handling cars. I would stay away if you want something with some version of precision handling.

Anyone else tempted by the new M2? I'd consider letting my Evo go for one, if someone offered me the right amount of money. Alternative, just pay off the Evo and get an M2 when I'm not stuck in SF and have to deal with parking. Right now I can't justify more than one car. It's the only thing keeping me from doing something completely irrational.

I have no idea where you people are getting clean Evo 9s for low 20K, high 19k.

It looks like I have to find an Evo owner who is about to leave the country or going to jail, because I haven't found a single 8 or 9 (with lower mileage ~60k) for around 20k. :P

a NICE VIII seems to be in the $15-18k range, which is quite a bit higher than they used to be.

as for IXs? psh... they are skyrocketing. i see anything less than 75k miles, even with mods, going for $23k.

daaaaaaaaayum. i'm sitting on a gold mine LOL

Maybe I'm looking in all the wrong places, but I can't even find a single low mileage VIII for under 20k.

Maybe its time to trade in the WRX, but I would love to have both cars in my drive way

I think it all has to do with luck haha I got mine for 19k with 83k on the clock and a solid mod list. With that said I'm seeing tons of slightly modded, or ragged out IX's for 23-24 which is crazy...
