Yeah I think I'm gonna do that just to make sure. The last thing I need is to have to rebuild my head lol. Honestly I think it's something stupid but we'll see. Thanks for insight

I have been having a similar issue for the past few years, even switched heads and I have the same issue... I have no idea what it is , I just let the car warm up as usual and it is fine...

There was another thread like this that went on for many pages with lots of parts replaced and no answers. Many it is just the sound of an older engine.

Noises like this just don't appear out of thin air for no reason though. The best way to describe it, is like having a blocked EGR valve, or SUPER loud ticking injectors. Maybe the injectors are starting to fail?

Yeah i first got the clicking when I installed my EBC. It only occurs when driving in higher loads while the weather is cold or the car is warming up. Is the sound produced from the solenoid?

I believe I have found the culprit. There is minor gap between the turbo manifold and the head where the OEM gasket had bowed out a bit. That most definitely will cause the sound I am experiencing. Now to order a new gasket and begin the process I hate so much on this car.

You know you are on to something here, I thought you meant like the bracket clanking on the frame lol....I hear a clicking sound when I let off throttle, only hear it from 2500-4500 decels for example. One of my friends thought it would be the ecu but it didnt make that noise until the ebc was installed

i have a little tick in the morning after the rpms drop about 3 or so minutes after start up and then almost completely goes away after driving a few miles..(probably because oil gets hot and is easier to pass through lifters and stuff)..either way its only been going on for a week and im going to get it professionally diagnosed.. I have 1000cc injectors and hks 272 cams I might just need some love underneath the valve cover...

either way if you got a tick put some effort into finding it.. don't brush it off its not the end of the world but eventually it "could" be.
