hello all,

bought my evo a little while back. didn't have an undertray. looking to pick one up for the additional protection/downward force benefits. what's recommended? thanks.

There was a guy on here with Carbon-Kevlar Skid-Plate, imported from Europe, I want to get enough folks interested and get them imported here, thing is they're about $600-700 but their attention to quality and fit was just like stock.

I've seen others but they're just not like it, I seen the Evo Carbon-Kevlar one modified to fit RallyCross Neon last year at NASA event and I wanted it

There's the plastic oem one or the beatrush aluminum one. I think there's another brand but I can't remember it right now. There is also the works croxx plate but that covers the area a little further back where the two oem bars are underneath.

I prefer the stock undertray for proper aero and cooling. Plus like the idea of plastic vs. metal so the plastic panels crack/break away absorbing any impact rather than passing the shock along to hard parts that cost a lot more.

Look for alternate fastening hardware if you want to put the stock tray back on. It's just a pain if you work on the car often.

Really the only reason I'll be running the plastic one on mine. That, and unlike my last Evo, this one came with one.

Also, welcome to the Evo/Veedub club. I hope you like check engine lights.

Haha, you only know it's broken when the light goes off!

I've got a Mk V that was previously the daily for a mod on here, and I'm courting, we'll call it, a girl with a Mk IV and Mk III, also both Jettas. They're invading my life, HALP!
