wheel bearing question

so i just replaced my wheel bearing on the front driver side since it was making noise, and now im noticing a bearing like noise when im driving. is this normal when you first replace it? the noise stops when i apply the brakes, and will it go away if the part is broken in?

That's not right. If the noise is new (different from the noise that caused you to replace it), then either the part is faulty or you did something wrong on the install (axle not torqued down, caliper loose, who knows).
Figure out what it is before it causes damage.

i torqued everything to the required setting so i know everything is tight and the install is pretty straight foward nothing really to mess up

There's should be no break-in period for wheel bearings.

Forgive me in advance for asking, but to what did you torque the axle nut? A huge majority of failed wheel-bearing replacements are due to not enough torque on that nut.

ok i couldnt wait and i decided to torque it tonight and it is much much better but there is still ball bearing noise ever so slightly, so im guessing its just the bearings doing there thing. my girl said she heard it on her side of the car as well so maybe im just being paranoid now o.O

If the bearings were damaged at all from being undertorqued then retorqueing wont repair them. Just make sure its not a brake shield rubbing on the rotors or something caught in between the two making you think its a bearing noise.
