I'm trying to connect through evo scan to my evo ix mr, but everytime i try to connect, on the down right corner it shows recovery mode, and it doesnt let me connect to the ecu and let me take a back up,it says usb in use or not connected.... please help!!! note that its a jdm ix mr, 2007 model....

No...totally stock, no tune done before

I only asked because it used to be a practice for some tuners to "lock" the ecu after tuning so you would have to go to them for subsequent tunes. other than that I would just make sure that you have both connectors plugged in tight and everything is secure and just keep trying. The first time I flashed my ecu to delete my rear o2 it locked me out for like an hr then magically on the hundred millionth time I tried it it started working again for no reason.
