OEM JDM rear bumper
I recently bought a OEM Evo 9 rear bumper and as you all know they now come unpainted. What Im trying to figure out is where exactly to the draw the line for the two tone colors (color of the car and the bottom part of the bumper which is kinda like a dark charcoal grey). If you have an OEM JDM rear that came painted from the factory could you snap some close up pictures where these two colors are that way I can show my painter what he needs to do. Thanks

Thank you for your response, but by looking at some pictures from the JDM bumper thread some people have the the top of that line that divides the lower diffuser section down painted with the dark charcoal grey and others painted the middle of that line down. What I want to do is get it painted exactly like an OEM painted bumper.

I had to go through the same scenario recently with my painter as I also purchased a JDM bumper directly from Japan.
The factory color for the diffuser section of the JDM rear bumper is Mitsubishi Medium Purplish Grey Mica A39 CMA10039 2004-2008 04/05.
This is very close the the Graphite Grey some Evos come. However, some people (myself included) choose to paint this section black with a clear coat to offset they grey...otherwise the entire bumper will just look the same. These pictures show the section of the bumper that is painted as it would be factory. Again, only difference here is I chose to do mine black instead of grey mica.
