if you are going big power/tq, you want to ditch the 6spd. 400wtq, i think the 6spd starts to break? your liquid in the trunk should be clear. if white, it may be some really old methanol LOL. if you get a trans rebuild: send it to Jack's. do not stop, do not pass go, do not go elsewhere; go to Jack's. if you really wanna get spendy they even have an "ultimate" option; they let you pick your gears. awesome.
if you can find a place that upgrades the 6spd, let me know. last i checked nobody does it any more due to lack of replacement parts. i REALLY like my 6spd and would prefer not to have to do a pricey swap on top of the price of a nice 5spd rebuild. then again, i will never have more than 400ftlbs of torque, so i am not sure i need a 5spd.
edit: it looks like TRE still upgrades the 6spd.
