Air Filter Question

I am curious about what is a nice decent intake or air filter. I have weaponR and was told the air filter is restrictive. I have no clue what is the difference between a restrictive and non-restrictive. If anyone can help answer this question I would appreciate it. Also any suggestions for air filters would be awesome. Thanks in advance.

Do some searching.

there is the biggest thread on here about filters. that should get you started.

An air filter should not be restrictive period. An engine is a big air pump. The more air in the more air out the more power. No time ever would you want to choke your engine of air.

How much power are you making or are planning on making? The oem intake isn't really restrictive until you start pushing over 350 hp, then maybe I would start to consider a better intake. Drop in aftermarket filters for the oem intake don't do much either btw.

+1 oem is damn good up to about 350whp just add a drop in filter and makes a better idle and just drives better overall. Only real reason to upgrade is if your making decent power
