I wanted to get some insight into what would be the best turbo to get if I wanted to stay on a stock block. I plan on getting GSC S2 cams, 1250cc injectors, ported IM, 70MM TB, sparktech COP, tuned on 93 octane speed density. My options are between the 5858, 6262, or 6266. I want between 525-500hp on dynojet, but also a good powerband, preferably 3800-8500rpm.

 

You're asking for issues staying on a stock block with anything bigger than the 5858. Build it now instead of blowing it and then having to find another block to build. Don't spend more money than you need to.

 

Ya you can spend cheap now and max it out or you can takeyour time and build something that you wont have to worry about.

If money isnt an issue, id say hta3582r, but a 5858, hx40, s362, s262 can work.. I say get the smallest turbo that would be most efficient for your horsepower goals..
