is it a necessity to get arp head studs when boost 20+?

Every shop in Chicago that I have gone to and/or heard of does the 1x1 method. Ams does it, apm does it, strictly modified does it, boosted tuning does it, and Adam way back in the day (Devo tuning) did it as well. Just saying.... To each their own and I personally have done this 1x1 to all 3 Evo's I have owned and none of them have ever blown a headgasket. It's like 99% the tune anyways. You can boost 35psi all day long on the stock headstuds if you're not detonating at all. It's the one time you do have a nasty knock for a couple consecutive seconds that the arp's are NICE to have.

op,I'm not gonna talk about same stuff again.1 by 1 for $120 or taking the head off and do it for $500.mine was done by reputable shop in Chicago 1 by 1.i run 27-30psi on E85 for 3 years now.you decide.many ppl still have stock studs without problems.it's all tune not boost.but to me it was affordable so i installed it.
