I've bought one for 8K, 03' Silver, stock, 100K miles, clean title

with that being said, it'll be very very rare to find one that cheap in good condition, is it possible, sure but you better have cash and be one of the first to drive/fly to it

don't forget to factor in the full-coverage insurance, if required in your state for a financed vehicle. then there is gas. they drink a lot. tires aren't TOO cheap unless you stick with the stock size. then they are kinda not so bad.
start saving now for a clutch. unless you do your own work, it's about $1,200+. you will probably go through at least one or two.
being able to afford buying one is different than being able to afford owning one. this is why i'd never own an exotic. be realistic.

I can do most of the maintenance on my own with help of my brother who's a mechanic at Nissan. I know they are expensive hobby but It will surely motivate me to work for it. I already asked geico for a full coverage insurance and they quoted me at $648 for 6 months which I believe is decent rate in NY?

I agree the 9 is a better option since they are more rare. Plus the 9 APPEARS unmolested other then the exhaust whixh is a huge plus (assuming it hasnt been stocked back to oem)

Well I always wanted 9 MR and they are my fav evos but always thought they were out of my price range. There was one near me for sale for 16k but it had 2 accidents. I called the dealer today and it was sold :/

I'm not surprised, the 9 was a steal at that price (if it had a clean title). Hell, I would've bought it just to flip it.

I admit it. My car and HPDE are my motivation to work hard.

That IX was a great deal. Be patient and you may find another. Then again, it may have been a bait car.

Everyone is telling me that i can buy a decent car in that price but to be honest with u i would hate getting in a car and going to work that i don't like and hate seeing it after work. As being an independent college student its hard to save up working with part time job but I sold my bike and saved up to 8,500. I can keep going and save up more but my dads old car which I'm currently using to commute is starting to break down on me and I know I'm gonna have to spend that 8500 on a new car soon so why not spend it on an evo?

That dealership sells primarily rebuilt title cars or ones that are crashed and puts them together.

and yeah carfax says rebuilt title on that one.
