Non HID oem headlight riddle

Need a fix for this. The OEM headlight housing on an 05 NON-HID... There is a little plastic piece that allows the bulb to seat. It doesn't have a part number. The dealership wants to sell me a whole new housing for 750 when I only need a 99 cent piece of plastic. Anyone delt with this before? Got a better solution?
Your advice is appreciated.

Ok so in that picture there is a grey piece of plastic, in the rightmost housing, that the bulb is plugged into. It clips on to the inner piece of the headlight housing and allows the bulb to be locked into place. The guy at the parts desk in my local Mitsubishi dealership can't seem to find a part number for it.

No. It is just a piece of plastic. It looks like a big grey coke bottle lid with a hole in the top and three square notches where the blub fits in (qtr turn).

I will pull the plastic piece from the good light and take a picture of it in the morning.

That is the piece. I need one. It's completely missing on my car. Can't find part #'s or even the proper name.

Wait. What is the purpose of that zip tie? Is that piece falling off on your car? Because I have no idea wtf happened to mine.

Yeah dude I needed to replace mine because the clips don't actaully clip anymore. They fit super lose so Zipties help lock it up.

This thing is killing me. It's pretty frustrating having to tape the bulb in place.

Anyone have a better idea to fabricate a retainer? I feel like a jerk driving around with tape holding my low beam in place.
