Mystery bolt - Need Help
1st post!
I was wondering if someone could help me locate a home for this magic bolt.
Picked up an 05 EVO 8 of a good friend. The car was out of commission for a rebuild for about 2 years. I found this bolt on the floor of my trailer after getting the car running and tuned. It looks really similar to the motor mount bolt on the pass side of the engine compartment, but that's obviously there.
The car sits fine. I haven't driven it yet (no plate) and to be honest, i don't want to hit the streets and find out that bolt was really important. Or the bolt might not even belong on the vehicle. 2 years can mean a lot of misplaced bolts that might have been replaced with another when it wasn't located, rattled from it's hiding spot on the dyno.
Please chime in if you think you may know where this bolt may go on the car.

Lift the hood, shake the radiator (at the base) check the lower left fwd assy for empty screw holes. Check the area near the alternator. Start the car and yank the throttle cable. Look for excess surge on the engine. If it leans, it's a mount. If not, pay a mechanic. I assume it's safe to start the car for a min if you already pulled on a dyno. Good luck.

Motor mounts are good. The front and rear are smaller than the sides.
Subframe is what I'm thinking too. Anyone have a blown out diagram that includes the fasteners?
Once i got some time I can get underneath and look around.

If the head of the bolt is a 19mm socket it looks like one of the bolts that either holds the lca to the frame from the front horizontally or vertically up through the lca to subframe.

If that has a 17 mm head on it then it could be a t case bolt. From underneath you can see the lower bolts that hold the t-case to the trans, if you reach up to the top of the case there are 2 long 17mm head bolts that look just like that. I just had my trans out the other day and that looks just like it
