Gas smell from exhaust.

My car smells like gas from exhaust to the point that my buddy driving behind me gets a headache but my car is running great and wide band is reading good. Anyone know what might be going on? I do have a 3 inch turbo back exhaust.

Thanks.

I think I know...
Your "buddy" is being OA. If afr is good, then it can't be too rich. If it was actual fuel leak, you would know. Maybe you should let the car idle, and walk around and investigate the smell.

I have. The exhaust smells like its pouring gas but I figured if AFR is good then all is well. IDK.

Is the car tuned? Who installed afr? Are you sure it's reading correctly? No matter what the mix is I can't imagine that it would smell that strong from exhaust. I got nothing. Maybe someone else here can give you a better answer. Ask 3k.

Yes its tuned and the AFR was already in it when I got it. A far as I know the AFR is correct. No idle problems and 11.3 at WOT.

You probably don't have a cat I'm guessing. The smell is normal if you don't have one

yeah your car runs on gasoline. I wouldn't be worried that your exhaust smells like gas

Must be first time driving de-cat'ed car. You are in Alabama so it's good to go.

Ha ha! This post had me standing behind my car, sniffing exhaust to see if it smells like gas... While it does stink, I don't feel like the smell is much different than when I had a cat. Just stronger stink.
