what wear and tear parts should i stockpile

trying to compile a list of parts i should start to stockpile as i plan to keep my evo for a long while so what are the parts most likely to wear out and need to be replaced over time in our evos? please exclude consumable items such as brake pads and oils and tires.

Nothing. Same is true for a lot of cars.

Unless you plan on beating the **** out of it, anything you "stockpile" that isn't a common wear item isn't going to pay off

You know I'm kicking myself now but back around 2006 Mitsubishi was offering complete crate engines with accessories bolted on. Pretty good price too. Vacuumed packed and put it in the corner of the garage for a rainy day.

Why buy parts before you actually need them? Unless you have money to wipe your a$$ with of course. But as for an answer I would agree with a trans.

If you go to STM, you can begin to compile a list. I'm pretty sure STM is selling parts that are actually demanded.

My turn signal started failing to return to "off" a few months back and sure enough, STM is selling it (I usually will go there or MAPerformance first):

My guess is it has it's own page at STM because it goes bad fairly regularly and would guess the same for a lot of the rest of the inventory they have there:

This broke on my car:

Block, Head, Transmission, Transfercase, Balljoints, CV joints/Axles, Weather stripping, any clear plastics (headlights, tail lights, maybe sidemarkers).

Mitsubishi no longer has a legal obligation to create parts for the CT9A starting in 2016, so you better hurry!

thanks for the replys keep them coming. i live in the philippines and evo parts dont come cheap here or in good condition either usually being a surplus part from japan with unknown mileage and they usually command a premium price (more so vendors just trying to rip u off cus they assume that your loaded with money if u drive this sort of car) so whenever i fly back to the states i try to stock up on parts since most parts are interchangeable with my evo6 and its always nice to put newer evo8/9 parts on there. so what more should i add on the list?

Does that mean that they are going to stop making parts guaranteed or is that just when they "could" stop if they wanted to?? :-/
