hey guys plz help my engine broke

hey guys plz help my engine broke-forumrunner_20140403_212603.jpg

Hey guys ok I got this map from my tuner.
I have a 2.3 stroker 9.0.1
PTE 6262 (0.82)

The car started burning plugs right after it got tuned then a exhaust valve burn.
We opened the engine and all the cylinder bores seem to have scratches

This tune was done on 95 octane pump fuel with about 17psi

Could it be the tune that caused the motor to break? Please help

Looks like a lot of timing to me.

Ask this to be moved to the tuning section.

Any pictures of the cylinder walls?

Also did the spark plug tips break off?

Those are from the spark plug tips bouncing around then.

I think your due for a good remote tuner.

when the motor was built, has it ran fine before this tune?
or was this the break in tune that did it in?

This was a low boost map that got tuned the same day the car broke

The break in tune was done awhile ago.
Car has done about 650 miles on break in tune with no problems at all

Looks fine to me.. just needs more boost and more timing.

EDIT: and stronger spark plugs.

Yes the tune broke the motor.

The car was detonating badly causing excessive heat, the heat transfers into the piston and causes it to expand. When it expands it starts to damage the cylinder walls.

FWIW I attached an example of how the timing map should've looked. (Pattern, not number wise)

That timing map looks crazy high. That and running high-z injectors with stock resistor pack, I say you do need a new tuner.
