What can I expect to pay to respray rear bumper?
I wasn't paying attention backing out of my driveway this morning, and swiped another car in my driveway so I need to get my bumper resprayed....
Here is the damage:
Attachment 331635
I'm going to get an estimate tomorrow at a very reputable body shop and I like to know what I should expect to pay to get this done.
I've always wanted a JDM rear so I'm wondering if this would be a good time to buy a JDM rear and get the painted instead of fixing my USDM bumper.

To fix that it should be less than $300... a JDM bumper is going to cost you $650 shipped, plus $200 something for a new crash beam that fits, and $400 plus to paint it probably... but since you're WW, you might not have to paint it at all actually (not sure if they come just primered or if they're all painted WW).

The JDM rear now only comes primered. I'd have to get it painted wicked white and eisen gray.
As much as I have always wanted a JDM rear, is an exterior mod really worth $1250+? I know this is coming from someone who just slightly messed up his bumper and already wants to fix, but I need to be a somewhat rational.
This picture has made pretty convinced though..
I have no automotive painting experience so I highly doubt I would get even decent results. I can't even comprehend how you could use spray paint and get it to blend properly... It's also not on a flat surface which would make it even more difficult.

Just went to two auto body places to get estimates... One was over $600 to fix my current bumper. The other place would re-spray my current bumper for $450 or paint a jdm rear and install for $500..
Here is an estimate from one place:
He wanted to charge me close to $200 to paint a vortex generator...
Am I going to the wrong places? Where can I go to get it fixed for less than $300...

That's an easy fix. Just for that area I would wash/clay/compound, order some white paint, sand/paint/ clear.
Then again I have the same issue for almost a year. Haha! I'll do it one day!!! Good luck with your repairs.
