What are altezza tail lights?

What are altezza tail lights?
I keep hearing this term being thrown around, usually in relation to evo 8 tail lights. My other quick question is what is the term for the jdm evo 8 rear bumper, this one: 
not the one with the diffuser which is all I can seem to

unlike normal red housing with white reverse lights I'm guessing it's defined as being a clear see through housing,having individual sections of brake, reverse lamp, turn signal,reflector.And rear bumper seems like a 7 bumper

The Lexus IS300 was called a Toyota Altezza in Japan. If you'll recall, IS300 tail lights are chrome like 8s.
When Altezza/IS300 look got popular everyone started making chrome tail lights for Hondas and crap and called them Altezzas, since they were mimicking the Toyota Altezza. Unfortunately 8s came out just on the tail end of that retarded craze, and thinking with dollar signs, it made sense to put them on the evo as it was introduced at the peak of that genre in the US.

This makes me feel old as I remember these coming out. Before those came out there were really no options as far as tail lights go. You had some go with the clearish looking lights but those were illegal most places and then you could custom them. I had an IS300 several years ago and that was the first thing I got rid of was the chrome in exchange for the gunmetal ones from toyota. Say what you want about the altezza craze, it did open the door for more customization of tail lights.
