EVO IX MR 6-speed OEM Aluminium Gear knob.
Hi guys,
I've purchased one of these knobs and realise that the weakest/inferior part of this knob is the sticker at the top.
Can you still get these stickers, since the IX has long been out of production?
Thanks guys

AFAIK the sticker is not its own part number. I think you're kinda stuck.
What we need is some enterprising vendor to make knockoffs, sort of like these

they made it aluminium (aluminum) so its more durable than the leather one.. but yet… the sticker is low quality. And I'm assuming a clutch change, they need to take it off. Which pretty much ruins it, right there.
Great… not a part so you gotta pay up to $200 because your sticker is worn.
like you said, just need someone to make a knock off to have the right concave/curve on the sticker too.

So I'm guessing you want to replace it because it's yellow? If that's the case, you don't need a new shift pattern label...
There are actually two pieces on top of the knob. A clear plastic dome piece and then the flat label with the shift pattern design. The plastic dome is the piece that yellows. You just have to be really careful when you remove them so that you don't damage the label or the knob. I think I used a safety pin to pry them off the knob and ended up scratching the label a little bit.
Search ebay for "3M 1" clear dome sticker". http://www.ebay.com/itm/100-RESIN-CLEAR-EPOXY-DOME-STICKERS-1-1-INCH-3D-DOTS-BOTTLE-CAPS-CIRCLE-PENDANT-/310923530363?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item48647c907b
