AMS remote oil pressure sending unit lower quality now?

In that link you can see that is it safe from corrosion and SS.
The one I got after one winter is completely rusted, the hard line the nuts everything... Has the quality of their product gone down, were the SS ones like the one in that picture not made anymore?

Is that copper color on the hardline some kind of plating or is it supposed to be corrosion proof? Mine is all rusty and white flakey in the copper areas. I got mine directly from AMS.

The one i got came with blue anodized fittings and no copper plating on the line ends. But the line was to short for my taste and i ended up replacing it with this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/171121846854...84.m1423.l2649

36 inches is a little to long thou. But ive had that line since january and no rust so far.

Called ams to verify it's not all stainless. The line you show might work but how about the adapter bung into the oil filter housing? Where can I get that in stainless?

Wow, ive had those fittings for years now when i first did my oil and temp gauges. I redid it back in december to add the remote line and my fittings were not rusted. But then again in my area we dont get alot of moisture.

If you know the thread pitch and size, and the length of the hose you need you can have a hydraulic shop make one up for you. I did for my acd relocation and the fittings were all stainless.
