oops, sorry for the late reply.

The dealer replaced the actual dimmer switch on the dash.


Now with your latest post on everything go dim and bright... that's odd, that has never happened to me before, but if you have some surging issue it wouldn't surprise me if you blew the switch... at least on my car, it seems very sensitive.

If I remember correctly, it could of happened right after I installed an aftermarket radio/headunit.... and to keep your nerves on ease I have multiple engineering degree's I'm not a tard, I know how to install a stereo

Dash lights should always be on no matter what, however if your HVAC lights are getting dimmer I would check the alternator also.

I have the same issue as well, dimmer switch wont work if move the knob the lights dont change, but it doesnt go dim or bright and all the bulbs are working, just the dimmer. I noticed it when i got a turbo timer installed although it hasnt bothered me yet, after stumbling upon this thread made me want to fix the issue.
