Been away from the game. My IX MR - what is it worth?

I would screw in the hood bumpers on the front crossbeam to get your hood a little more flush with the fenders. At least on the passenger side. The drivers side looks like its a little low. Little things like that can affect curb appeal. I would say anywhere from 19k-22k depending on the area, time of year, and market. There are so many other factors that affects potential buyers though. Lenders are rarely excited about giving someone (someone who would want an evo) a $20k loan for an 8 year old car. That narrows the potential market quite a bit. It was actually easier and cheaper for me to buy a new evo than a used one because of that.

i appreciate the replies. as stated, I may decide to keep it. however, i have had it for 8 years now and would love to get something a bit more comfortable for my daily slog through traffic. 18-19k seems like a good number and I would be pretty happy with that. getting >50% of MSRP back after 8 years is awesome.
Re: Fujitsubo exhaust. i love it! Deep and aggressive without being obnoxious.
Re: hood bumpers. you have a good eye, rongdoer! i will try to adjust that tonight.
Re: bank loans being limited to KBB retail...is that the "buy from a dealer" option?

I bought my GG IX MR with 92k miles 3 years ago for 18k. I would say list it at 19 and work your way down if needed. The right buyer will come along!
Good luck in whatever route you choose to take

Not for my credit union, but banks vary. My banks does, however, require the title to be present, so I can't buy from private party that isn't local. In that case, it would have to be a dealership.

Can't believe some of the low ball prices. Who cares what the banks will give you, save some money for the down payment if you want it. 19-20K is the lowest you should go and for me that would be questionable. The car looks good and unmolested. There are not too many like it, and they are not making any more, ever.

Nice looking car and agree with what's been said for costs based on the little bit of searching I've done as well. I am going to be in the same boat soon too (moving..).
I always enjoy the photos of the engine bay and how everyone's positive battery protector "pops" up on the right side.
