Evo9 MR Help

I just traded In my Evo8 MR for an Evo9Mr. I want to do some basic mods to it but I don't know where to start. I'm pretty new to this scene. I'm looking to get my car to 375HP or even a little more. It's daily driven so I want to keep it street legal for now.. Any suggestions?

Are the 9s that much different compared to the 8s? I know they have ACD and MIVEC, and a better turbo but thats about the only differences besides looks..

Its basically the same exact mods as the 8 since the motors are similar so bolt ons and tune.

What evo Matt said... But if e85 is not an option I would do:

Tbe with a nice cat like mil spec, Perrin intake tube with filter, fmic with the 3.8 Garrett core I like jmf but buschur is nice too, uicp, licp, spoolinup cop, 3 port ebc like grim speed, and a tune by a reputable tuner... And All maintenance items like belts drivetrain fluids and most likely throttle body shaft seals. Your stock fuel system will be about tapped out with these mods.. But probably will handle the above around 22-24 psi. The evo 9 fuel pump flows more than the 8...

evo.matt nailed it. Exact setup on my 9. If e85 is not an option then go for aftermarket camshafts and springs which should put you at 375 with 91+ octane.

I was meaning 91 pump gas. You need to find out what type of fuel is available to you. 91,93,e85?

TBE, intake, FMIC with LICP, o2 housing, injectors, fuel pump, cams, springs and retainers, Grimmspeed EBCS, and tune.

sorry for the question but why did you trade your evo 8mr for evo 9mr? 05-06 evos are basically the same besides the mivec. now if you said a 03-04 then thats more understandable but a 05 im just curious

That is a good question. But you are looking at least 3k with doing all maintnance. This does not include labor. Have you ever modded a vehicle before? You also gonna need a wide band setup

I always wanted the 2006 Evo but when I went looking for Evos i only found the 8 so i took it. About 4 months later some guy traded in his evo9 for the X so I went for it. As cheesy as this sounds the IX has always been my dream car, plus it was the color I wanted it and everything.
