Questions about EVO HID Headlights.

Can I swap out the oem HID system for an aftermarket one? Reason I am asking. I think both of my ballasts are done.
Also is there a way to test the balast?
Thanks

if your ballasts are done they won't work at all. if the bulbs are done they will be pink

yes you can swap ballasts for whatever you want, you'll just have to cut the wires on the old one and put a 9006 plug on it (the most common plug on ballasts)

I have seen people run aftermarket HIDs, u just need to install the whole kit is is kind of dumb though i would test your ballasts or replace your ballasts personally I hate aftermarket HID they are too bright and blind people

You'll also need to keep the old ballasts in place since they seal the giant hole in the headlight housing or use something else to seal the hole.

no they dont; reflector housings with HID's or improperly aim lights do

i.e. improper application and user incompetence

kind of strange how they both went bad at the same time. What makes you think they're toast?
