selling a motor w/spun rod bearing advise
I have a motor that I'm fixing to swap this weekend. It has a spun rod bearing. It still runs, so it's not completely shot.
Anyway, do you think I should split the head from the short block and sell them separate? Or sell it as a longblock?
My plan would likely be to do a part out thread and sell the brand new OEM alternator, intake mani, TB, etc all separate.
I'm trying to recoup some cash from the swap. I appreciate any advise.

For most people, the head is going to be more valuable than the long block that needs tear down.
I'd list them as either/or, then don't split it up until you have a paid buyer for the head. That way you still have an out if someone wants to pay something crazy for it as a unit. The problem with it as a unit is that the head needs to come off to fix the bottom end properly anyway, so there isn't much added value with the head. It would only be worth more assembled versus two parts sold separately if it was sold to someone that had literally "nothing" to start with.
