I have fic 1450cc and my tuner is suggesting the 1100cc fic injectors for better driveability and gas mileage. How !much of a difference would the new I hectors make?

The 1100s are a smaller injector, and also a newer generation injector, so they should tune and run a bit more easily compared to the larger older 1450cc injector. The 1450cc is a popular injector as well though and should tune pretty well also.
If tuned properly, I would expect both injectors to offer similar gas mileage, all other things being equal. In theory, any injector that runs well should not affect gas mileage.

Isn't there a question of peak efficiency? (More for the FIC guy I guess) As in what is the error of an injector operating outside of its peak efficieny ragne vs a properly sized injector. e.g. a 1000cc running at 90% vs. a 1200cc running at 75% vs. 1400cc at 65% (round numbers for ease of calculations). I know tuning can do alot to make things run smoothly but valves have static mechnical properties that effect efficiency as well. Things like atomization and flow rate and spray pattern must be affected at some point or there wouldn't be different sizes for injectors. If you throw 1450s on a stock car I would imagine they would be running at 35% and run like crap even with a tune. Just an assumption but would love to hear an answer.

The 1100 FIC high z are awesome injectors. The way I see it is if you even have a thought that you are going to make more power in the future, go big once and be done. Yes it will cost more now but later you will save. Sorry if someone touched on that already. I skimmed through the comments.

Newer technology high impedance injectors like our 1100cc, 2150cc, and some other smaller sizes we offer are very stable except for a couple percent at the lower and upper extremes, and the low impedance injectors are just a bit behind them, having a slightly bigger non-linear area at the upper and lower extremes.
To answer your question, there is a pretty wide margin you can use and end up with great results (say 3% through 96%, for example) where you would not be compromising performance in any way by using a bit larger or bit smaller injector, as long as it was within that range.

We carefully characterize all of our injectors on our custom benches to make sure they are well matched through their entire operating range--this helps them to perform better and tune more easily especially in the very short pulse width range at idle and light throttle. With my 1450 low impedence injectors and my current set up I'm making 447 who with 382 ft-lb of torque. Every time I'm in neutral I almost always cut out and my engine stalls. Is there anyway to remedy this without buying high impedence Injectors? This is my first evo and unfortunately I'm learning things the hard way.
