My new Evo V
Picked up an Evo V a couple of weeks back, spent the last week servicing and sorting out a few little glitches here and there.
Previously i've owned and S3 Rx7, Mk6 Gti and a few motorbikes including a Ducati 1098s and a Kawasaki Z1000
The mk6 Gti was a fun well made little car but it lacks the raw appeal of the Evo, it also feels heavier whereas the evo sits a lot flatter and generally feels like it enjoys being thrown around more.
For the minute i'm not going to mess with it much, just enjoy driving it and sorting out anything that comes up to get it the way I want it.
So far its got:
Walbro 255
Tomei m7960
3" dp back exhaust/varex muffler
GFB Deceptor bov
Flashed ECU
Greddy profec b spec 2
Greddy Turbo Timer
Apexi Pod filter
Autometer Boost Guage
Tein super street coilovers
Front and rear strut braces

Yeah I noticed that, i'm not sure what the deal is, previous owner mentioned something about replacing it, it's kind of like a v/vi hybrid
the vent is only on the right hand (oil cooler side) so its a nice touch

Cool car, I'm new to the Evos so this is actually the first time I've seen a V. Looks like it would make a nice daily driver and winter car for here in the states. Sucks that U.S. mostly just gets the lame *** watered down versions of most cars. UK got the Focus RS back in the day, we got a SVT Focus that wasn't nearly as good. Other countries get the Evos I-VII, we get lame regular Lancers until the VIII came over, etc etc.

Lovely looking E5 you have there. The vent is the oil cooler vent I had the same vent on my E5 when I bought it and the bumper is definitely a E5 bumper as the E6 has smaller fog lights

nice looking V. And to answer a previous question, in my time in other countries people like the mustang and corvette, they are "rare" in some countries and are quite expensive after import fees
