It can be done but im sure your local PD and anybody around you wont like it at all and you will be smelling a lot of exhaust gasses

I'm going to say yes, absolutely. I am totally ok with that.
And now that I think about it, why would you even leave the cat on? It'll be much louder with that off.

If you leave the cat off it won't be too bad in terms of smell when you're driving. However, you'll have fumes in the cabin when you're sitting in traffic and it'll be crazy loud. If you want it to be louder just take it to a muffler shop and have a straight pipe welded in place of the stock muffler. It'll be loud for sure.

when it comes to people doing stupid things with their cars that is sure to end up in tickets or costly repairs, why not let them do it? "i wanna hit top speed on public roads" enjoy jail time. "i want to take off 75% of my exhaust" enjoy the ticket, carbon monoxide, and having to go to an inspection station.

I would do it man, sure. Its the only way to get a loud evo. these cars a desperately hard to make louder and even then sound like sh*t next to a subaru. Make sure to get an antilag system also. Goodluck with build.

no, that is one of the dumbest things I have read as of recent... it will smell like exhaust in your car... I smell a troll now..
