evo 6 build
Hey guys i have recently started on the mission of forging my evo 6 as the bottom end was starting to chatter away.
I havent brought anything yet just started dissasembling etc and trying to get a solid list before i start spending
my list so far is which is open for constructive critisism
BLOCK
-Eagle 88mm steel forged crank
-Eagle h beam conrods
-wossner 1mm o.s pistons 9:1 compression
-Genuine mitsubishi oil pump
-balanceshaft delete kit
-HKS or TOMEI headgasket
-Acl bearings
-ARP fastners
-gates timing belt new water pump etc
-Engine will be acid dipped skimmed balanced etc
CLUTCH
-extreme twin plate clutch kit
TURBO
-TD05HR rebuilt with 20g billet compressor wheel
TRANSFERCASE
-wavetrac internals
GEARBOX
-allready nice and tight
HEAD
-unsure as its ment to have aftermarket cams already (photos to follow)
minimum is a clean and rebuild
i cracked the head off today and as per photos this is what i found
head obviously had something done as its ****n clean.
im wondering if old owner had valves hit the pistons...redone the head slapped it together and sold it?? as valve heads are in good nick and everything in the head turns and operates fine ive driven it about 1000km since ive had it with no issues
ive also added the markings stamped on the camshafts does anyone know what they are...it had a nice lumpyish pulse to it when was running
