X is an amazing car, but the only thing that is going to replace my IX as a track car is something equally as raw.

I agree with Kyoo. Having something else considerably much more tame to drive most of the time makes the CT9A just that much more visceral when driven, so it keeps me from getting bored with it.

When the Evo X first came out, I thought it was pretty cool but never really seriously wanted it. It looks more modern, rides a little more compliant while handling sharper, but there was too much that felt like a step back. I was waiting for some huge improvement, but it never came. So no, I have never had Evo X envy.

But that new Golf R is looking really interesting. Since I doubt I can ever trust my girlfriend to properly drive a stick, I will probably lean toward my next car (not a replacement for my IX, as I would like to keep that forever) being an auto or a dual-clutch, if available.

I never gave a secound thought of letting the 9 go for the x until I drove and saw it I'm person. But I still don't think I would let the 9 go. Keep the 9 and get the x!

I don't envy how expensive the new X's are, that's for sure. Granted, our Evos were expensive back in the day too, so maybe one day the prices will come down on the X's and I'll grab one as a new weekend toy a few years down the road.

The bad thing about the 2015s is that they do not come with Recaros. They are putting in the Ralliart seats because of safety last I heard from my dealer.

How do you guys find the usable interior space? Is there more room in the X?

Adding on all that porky weight and having less space would be comical.

Little bit more in the rear but the trunk space is smaller on the X vs. the VIII/IX.

Depends how tall you and your front passenger are lol. I'd say it's about as spacious as a conventional sedan such as a Civic/Corolla.

by the specs a couple inches more than the X, it's more accord-sized than civic sized. just a random thing that doesn't really matter, but i'm always surprised when i go back there lol

i see lot of people selling Xs to buy VIII/IXs or doing trades. it all depends on what you want out of it. i think some of the people that bought the X expected it to drive like an VIII/IX, but it doesn't. for a daily driver, i'd probably prefer a X. for a track *****, i'd never, ever get rid of my IX.
