With a new motor from another car, show the VIN number.
With a new motor from rebuilding everything, show receipt w/ original engine.

IMO, the value on the car will be at 85-90% worth, around the $18K - $23K.
The value will also reflect on the exterior, interior, & tires.

Most Evo's around N. America has there's for around $21K with 80K miles give or take your mileage, you should see $20K - 23K for a good one for banks to ok other sellers.

What stands out for me is a car with 60k on it that needed a new motor. You can't compare a similar car with matching numbers = un-abused to the one you described. I would say at the lower end of any listed price for a matching numbers vehicle.

100% agree unless it's a built motor and you have all the receipts to prove it

thanks guys, appreciate the input. the car is in perfect condition. im going to find out tomorrow what exactly happened to the motor in the first place. so far all i know is that long block is getting replaced with a new one. i was just contemplating on selling it. all i really was interested in was if it was worth more because of a new engine.
