Lightbulb car not starting

I know I know check the battery.... but its fine.

so a little back ground

06 evolution w.w.(i know the color does not matter but hey) I am the third owner. 2nd owner had it repossessed and the bank had a new key made for it.

the car will not start occasionally.
went to breakfast a month ago drove fine there, ate and came back out and had to push start it.

two days ago wife tried to take it out and same thing.
all the interior lights come on like they are supposed to and everything acts like its supposed to act but go to turn the key over and nothing happens.

this has happened half dozen times or more.
a few times I have put cables thinking it was a dead battery and it fired up.

I HAVE CHECKED THE BATTERY, I HAVE CHECKED THE STARTER. BOTH GOOD.

possible symptoms are the key transmitter is faulting out occasionally or the clutch pedal sensor is faulting out? I am at a loss but I cannot consider it reliable right now with this issue any help on this matter is greatly appreciated

BATTERY IS GOOD
STARTER IS GOOD
CABLES ON THE BATTERY ARE GOOD

interesting..... I had a similar issue and it ended up being the terminals on the starter getting loose from time to time.

I pulled the starter to have it bench tested. he said it could use a cleaning but that it passed its inspection or test. the terminals were snug when I took it off and I checked them again when we had the problem the other day and no issues.

starters can be faulty intermittently. What you need to do is if you can duplicate the issue, Use a test light or a volt meter and check the power coming down to the starter and the signal. Have somebody else try and start it while you are under the car and if you confirm you are getting proper signal and that starter will not turn its the starter.
